Well I'm on my 2nd table, the first one came out very nice, however it doesn't belong in the same room as the one I'm building now. Both have one of the same problems. The paddded rail is not even and both times I have put a small tear in the vinyl. I'm going to have to order a new piece of vinyle and nex pad. Is the vinyl on the site the same width as the stuff I order from here a few weeks ago? Is there a secrete to getting the rail thickness even. I'm also watching the post on the 1/4 pad. Maybe you could double the 1/4 up if there was a problem with the thickness.

I would be happy to show pictures of my two tables when I finish #2.

Thanks for the site and I hope I get to build a few more. The crap table looks like a good build not sure where I would put it.

Hi Hilde

I will try to answer all of your questions to the best of my ability.

I'm not 100% sure as to what you mean by the railing not being even. You may be speaking to the fact that the old foam compacted at an uneven rate and would even bunch and fold in spots if you were not careful. You will find this to not be a problem with the new sponge. If that is not the problem that you are having, please be more specific and post some photos so that I, or someone else, can try to help you get it right.

The vinyl that you ordered a couple of weeks ago is different from the vinyl that we now carry in that it was of a bit lesser quality. I will get measurements on Monday and post here for you although i believe that the vinyl we have now is wider. I will post shortly to this.

I would love to see your photos when you're finished. To add your photos, just log in like you normally would, click upload photos at the bottom or the page, and follow the instructions.

Let me know if you require additional assistance and I will get those measurements posted to you shortly.

Hi Hilde,

The vinyl that we currently carry is 108 x 54. It is tear resistant and waterproof. You will find it to be of higher quality than the previous vinyl overall. I hope that answers your question.

I finished table two with the 1/4 foam that you have for the rail. On my first table I used 3/4 inch foam and I could fell the corners. On table #2 I used a router to round the corners on the rail. The high density 1/4 foam worked very good. The rail came out very nice.
